This is a truly wonderful opportunity to be part of a fantastic People and HR team that will offer the opportunity to be part of a large organisation in one of their most crucial departments. The lucky incumbent will be required to provide general HR Administration and administrative support to the HR and Talent Operations team.

The HR and People Administrator role would require you utilise your admin skills within an employee-oriented culture.

Main Duties:

To provide administrative support to HR staff members including assisting with their change of personal details, contract amendments etc and to ensure updates and communications received in the HR inbox are dealt with promptly.

Assist with recruitment administration, including;

  • Formulation of job descriptions.
  • Arranging and attending interviews.
  • Advertise vacancies internally / externally.
  • Make offers and draft contracts.
  • Carry out employment reference checks.
  • Recruitment agency liaison.

Other duties are varied and interesting, and include:

  • To assist in compliance and obtaining employment references.
  • To assist with the administration of company employee centric schemes.
  • To order and replenish departmental stationery.
  • To prepare contract and starter / induction packs.
  • Ad hoc personnel duties, such as to arrange flowers and condolence letters as and when required.
  • To open, date stamp and distribute HR mail accordingly.
  • To answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner and process messages.
  • To assist with general HR queries
  • Manage related correspondence duties

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  1. Administrative experience is essential. Ideally experience within a HR / Personnel environment.
  2. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using some HR software is essential.
  3. Strong inter-personal confidentiality skills.
  4. The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise as necessary.
