Teaching Assistant

Horizon Teachers are working with a Primary School in the Bromley area that are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to help cover with staff absences on a long-term, full time basis starting in September on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year in July 2025.

You will be supporting children from EYFS - KS2 that have Special Educational Needs, such as, Autism and ADHD. As a Teaching Assistant you will need to help the class teacher manage their behaviour and use your initiative to help best support them.

This schools focus is for their children to become independent, confident learners and they strive to ensure children reach their full potential. This will be a very rewarding role and you will be involved with a very supportive team within this role, paying up to £550 per week.

What the school are looking for in their Teaching Assistants:

  • Previous experience working with SEND - especially children with Autism and challenging behaviours
  • Moving and Handling experience is very desirable
  • Comfortable to lead small groups as well as working 1:1 with vulnerable students
  • Happy to conduct personal care
  • Passionate and not afraid to get hands on
