Job Description: Commercial Account Handler

Location: West Bromwich

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

About the client: My client is a leading, independent, family-owned broker who have a specialist scheme that they hold the pen for. Their specialist team is one of the leaders in this niche field with minimal competition. They take pride in their relaxed, friendly office environment where business comes to them—no cold calling or sales targets.

Role Overview: They are looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join their team in West Bromwich. This role includes an element of sales and will involve working closely with another experienced handler, providing support and managing client accounts. The ideal candidate will have over two years of general commercial insurance experience, particularly in liability and property insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, including new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments (MTAs).
  • Handle inquiries and referrals, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Support the team in underwriting processes, leveraging our delegated authority scheme.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain and develop strong client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial insurance.
  • Experience with Public Liability (PL), Employers Liability (EL), Directors and Officers (D&O), Professional Indemnity (PI), and all risks insurance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a relaxed, non-target driven environment.
