Salary: £120 - £200/daily.

Job Summary: The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of diverse learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and developmental disorders, and will be adept at creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. This role involves collaborating with other educators, parents, and specialists to ensure that each student's unique needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' abilities and challenges to determine specific educational needs.
  • Adapt and modify teaching methods to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize various teaching techniques and strategies to engage students and facilitate learning.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, parents, and external specialists to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that fosters students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching assistants and other support staff working with SEN students.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of students' progress and any interventions or accommodations provided.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to discuss their child's progress, challenges, and any necessary adjustments to their educational plan.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of SEN within the school community.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
