Title: Business Lecturer
Location: South Yorkshire
Pay: £30,000 - £49000 (based on qualifications and experience) (Perm) or £25+ per hour (Temp)
Duration: Full Time, Part-Time, Temporary or Permanent
Reed - Further Education are seeking a GCSE and/or A Level Business Lecturer based in South Yorkshire. We are looking for either temp or perm candidates that have proven experience in this area.
What's the day-to-day responsibilities of an Business Studies Lecturer?
- Working with the Curriculum Director to ensure the delivery of the curriculum to the highest possible standard.
- Delivering exciting and innovative lessons across all ages and abilities.
- Supporting the stated aims of the school as given in the Staff Handbook and School Development Plan.
- To be immediately responsible for the processes of identification, assessment, recording and reporting for the students in their charge.
- To assess students' work frequently in line with departmental and school policy and use the results to inform future planning, teaching and curricular development.
- Essential to keep up-to-date with research and developments in pedagogy.
- Detailed knowledge of the Business Curriculum at KS4 and KS5 to raise the level of achievement of students of all abilities.
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
- A degree in Business or related subject
- Teaching qualification i.e. AET, PTLLS, PGCE, certificate in education or expected to gain it in this year.
- Excellent subject knowledge of Business
- Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
