Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide high-quality support and care to individuals with diverse needs in a residential setting.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment, fostering a calm and respectful atmosphere.
  • Encourage and support residents' participation in a range of activities.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records in line with organisational policies.
  • Monitor residents' well-being and report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a residential support or care role is highly desirable.
  • Passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs and promoting independence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with the ability to also work independently.
  • Flexibility to work sleep-in shifts and occasional night shifts.
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of relevant care regulations and best practices.
