Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with children and families, working to improve the outcomes for SEN learners
  • Work closely with external agencies and providers of support
  • Work to deadlines and process all relevant paperwork for EHCP's and provision plans
  • Lead, co-ordinate and deliver high quality training for staff
  • Support staff with developing effective behaviour strategies
  • Establish open and effective communication channels with parents and carers, fostering strong partnerships to support student development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Holds or is willing to undertake the national award for SEN Co-Ordination.
  • Track record of supporting SEN learners and outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
