Fostering Reviewing Officer, £40, Barnet
Pertemps are recruiting for qualified and experienced Fostering Independent Reviewing Officers. In this role, the postholder will play an integral part of the Fostering Service by monitoring and reviewing the quality and effectiveness of standards of care provided by the council's foster carers and Supported Lodging Hosts.
Duties:
- Chairing Annual Foster Carer Review meetings. Part of your role will also be to
- Identify strengths and gaps in skill levels and competency, considering any development areas in the foster carer assessment process and provision of support offered to carers.
- To ensure the effective quality of the Supervising Social Workers reports and practice.
- To Identify practice that is not delivering good outcomes and constructively challenge to improve practice.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience (including management) in children and families social work dealing with child protection and children in care. At least five years' experience in statutory social work
- Previous experience as a Fostering IRO undertaking Annual Foster Carer Reviews
- Registered with SWE
- Full driving licence
