Part-time Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a temporary part-time detail-oriented administrative professional to join our key Public Sector client based in Huddersfield.

You will provide a confidential and professional administrative service to the Director and other Professionals.

You must have experience of taking minutes of meetings at Board level.

Term time only. The hours of work are 29.6 - Monday to Friday with flexibility - mainly office based with an opportunity to work from home occasionally

A fully enhanced DBS will be required for this role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Governance team in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting with the preparation of reports/agendas and presentations
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases
  • Coordinating meetings and events including IT/AV/parking/hospitality/online facilities etc/updating business calendars
  • Taking accurate minutes/notes - production and distribution thereafter
  • Supporting with the recruitment and appointment processes
  • Providing support in the training and development activities
  • Administration of statutory DBS requirements and solvency checks
  • Undertaking various project work, as required
  • To undertake any additional admin duties, as required

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience of administration in a busy and complex organisation
  • Experience of servicing a range of meetings and coordinating paperwork for various parties
  • Minute taking experience at Board level - essential
  • Experience of coordinating plans/projects
  • Good understanding of UK data protection legislation (GDPR) - desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability in planning and organisation, with good attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high quality work
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable and flexible with genuine interest and enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude
  • Excellent IT skills and experience in using a variety of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
