Bookkeeper
- Annual Salary: £20,000 Hours: 29 hours (part-time) - Office Based
- Location: Basildon, SS13
- Job Type: Maternity Cover from 30th September 2024 1 year.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis for maternity cover. This role is office-based and requires a candidate with a strong background in accounts and proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage the finance email inbox and provide prompt assistance to any queries.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Assist with the production of monthly sales invoices and the allocation of receipts.
- Complete quarterly VAT returns and monthly business card analysis for allocation.
- Handle monthly CIS submissions.
- Proactively manage and collect debts from clients' customers when necessary.
- Provide administrative support to other team members and assist with day-to-day operational activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in office administration and accounting duties.
- Proficiency in Xero and Excel.
- A team player with excellent service levels and the ability to work independently.
