About the Company:

Our client based in Kent and is an independent brewers, they operate one of the most advanced and sophisticated breweries in the UK with a global reputation for producing traditional real ale.

Job Description for the HR Assistant role:

  • As HR Assistant you are responsible for all the core administrative activities associated with recruitment, induction, contract creation, employee communications, pensions and benefit generation/renewal.
  • Maintain and monitor absence records, highlighting frequent absences or incident that merit further action. Producing absence reports as required. This can also include specific case management.
  • Liaison with third party suppliers, such as recruitment agencies, OH, benefit providers etc.
  • Close liaison with the payroll team to ensure smooth and accurate employee processing and on boarding.
  • Assisting with case management of recruitment, absence management and ER (including disciplinary & grievance work) activity across the business. As an incumbent's experience increases, they may take full responsibility for appropriate cases.

The Successful Applicant for the HR Assistant role:

  • Previous experience of working within a busy and varied administrative environment is important, ideally gained within the HR sector.
  • Competent IT skills, capable of producing basic written business reports and able to understand and use basic financial data.
  • Possession of a CIPD qualification, or actively working towards one would be an advantage.
  • Whilst the role is primarily office-based, the role holder must be prepared to undertake travel to local sites and occasionally to locations further afield.
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
