History Tutor - Harrow, North London to start ASAP!
Remedy Education are looking for a History Tutor to support a young student based in Harrow
This young student requires up to 2 hours a week of History tuition to support her with her upcoming GCSE's - this will be continuing through the summer holidays.
The student lives in Harrow and she does have a diagnosis of ASD, however this doesn't majorly affect her learning as she is a very bright and pleasant child.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver specific programmes which complement ongoing class work, learning objectives and assessment plans along with the class teacher
- Deliver tuition face-to-face / online and be confident in adapting content, style, format of the session to ensure results are achieved
- Build strong relationships with pupils and school contacts through session delivery, weekly review meetings, tuition progress reports and feedback
Successful candidates will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; ideally with specialism in History
- Relevant education, learning, childcare qualifications or at least 6 months experience
- Up to date knowledge and a clear understanding of the UK Curriculum
- Expert subject knowledge and be able to plan and communicate it effectively
- A commitment to deliver challenging and engaging sessions for an entire programme
