What You'll Do:
As a Software Engineer Manager, you'll:
- Apply software engineering principles and methodologies to design, develop, test, and maintain applications and services.
- Oversee the quality of work, ensuring it meets technical standards and aligns with business objectives.
- Design reusable libraries and APIs, driving platform component reuse.
- Automate build and deployment processes to enable greater automation.
- Deliver software components to enable platform delivery.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
The Skills You'll Need:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Strong background in software engineering, software design, or database architecture.
- Extensive experience in developing software in a SOA or microservices paradigm.
- Proficiency in a programming language, industry-recognized frameworks, and development tooling.
- Background in implementing programming best practices.
- Experience in Azure Cloud and the financial services sector is advantageous.
- Experience managing teams, coaching, mentoring, and leading developers.
- Expertise in test-driven development, SOLID principles, and clean coding.
- Background in development, preferably C# or .NET.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
