In this role you will:

  • Evaluate and process retail and corporate credit applications in a timely, accurate manner, ensuring compliance with internal mandates, credit policies, and risk appetite frameworks.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit line reviews for new and existing corporate clients, including in-depth account analysis, internal credit rating assessments, and review of documentation.
  • Conduct scheduled and ad hoc credit reviews, ensuring timely renewal of credit lines in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Monitor ongoing customer performance, identifying variances from agreed credit terms or risk thresholds, and recommending appropriate credit actions or escalations.
  • Foster strong working relationships with MAN Financial Service Business Development Managers to support both new business development and existing client renewals.
  • Contribute to operational excellence by identifying areas for process improvement and supporting strategic initiatives and projects led by the Credit Manager or Head of Business Operations.
  • Manage and resolve credit-related queries, ensuring efficient communication and resolution.

About you:

  • Data Interpretation: Drawing conclusions from large sets of credit and market data.
  • Analytical – Review and analyse financial statements, credit reports, and risk factors to assess creditworthiness effectively.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Communicating underwriting decisions in a respectful, professional manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Spotting discrepancies in applications or financial documentation.
  • Teamwork: the ability to work well within a team as well as individually.
  • Experience: minimum of 2 years underwriting experience, looking at both individual finances and company accounts, ideally including large corporate groups
