Financial Controller (Financial Accounting Central Services)
FULLY REMOTE
£55,000 - £65,000 plus discretionary bonus
We are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the central services financial operations and lead a small accounting team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance who is looking to take the next step in their career. This role is fully remote and is working for a sizable multi-national business with a fantastic reputation.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing strategic insights.
- Collaborate with senior management to support decision-making with financial insights.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyse financial data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and cost reduction.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Experience with Oracle would be highly desirable but high level Excel is essential
- Team management team is highly desirable
