Job Description: As a Freight Forwarder, you will play a crucial role in managing the transportation of goods for our clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and arranging shipments, both import and export, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all relevant regulations and requirements.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and carriers to facilitate smooth and efficient transportation processes.
- Preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, including customs paperwork, permits, and other necessary documentation.
- Tracking shipments and providing regular updates to clients on the status of their goods.
- Addressing any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process and finding effective solutions.
- Collaborating with various departments within the company to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve service
- quality.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar logistics role is essential.
- Solid understanding of import and export regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in handling shipping documentation and customs clearance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple shipments and resolve challenges proactively.
- Knowledge of various transportation modes (air, sea, road, etc.) and their respective requirements is preferred.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in the logistics industry.
