NPI Process Engineer
Job Description
- Provide injection moulding expertise from RFQ stage, leading all trial and process development activities until successful handover to all manufacturing sites.
- Collaboration with Tooling Engineers on new tool designs to ensure that mould processing requirements are considered and incorporated at tool design stage.
- Conducting injection moulding optimisation studies using scientific moulding techniques to drive robust process development, meeting defined cost and quality targets.
- Attending offsite tool trials (both UK and overseas travel is required) with full accountability for setting and tracking of trial objectives.
- Liaise and communicate with different departments, customers, suppliers, and service providers as required to fulfil the needs of the role.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years in a technical injection moulding environment.
- Strong proven experience in new injection mould tool development, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Experience of working with highly technical and cosmetic automotive components, excellent problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel frequently during certain project phases, as required, within UK and EU and Asia.
- A working knowledge of commodity and engineering polymers

Desirable Experience
- Experience of working with highly technical and cosmetic automotive components, excellent problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- RJG or equivalent professional moulding accreditation is desirable. • Experience of scientific moulding and Design of Experiments would be advantageous.
- Ideally candidates will have experience of large machines and mould tools (up to 2700T / >30T tool weight).
- Robot programming experience would be advantageous.
