Job Title: Interim Finance Manager
Location: Exeter
Duration: 6 Months (Start in September)
Salary: £35,000
Are you an experienced in transactional finance/bookkeeping? Our client, a services business based in Exeter, is looking for a skilled professional to join their finance team on an interim basis to cover a maternity leave.
About the Role: As the interim Finance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining robust financial controls and providing valuable insights to drive business performance during this transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the finance function.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Enforce strong financial controls and procedures.
- Assist in the prepare and review of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- AAT qualified or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Good transactional finance experience
- Proficient in financial software and systems; especially Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
