We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Behaviour Mentor to join our team. Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development. Your primary objective will be to promote positive behaviour, encourage engagement in learning, and foster a supportive environment that allows every student to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural and emotional challenges.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, encouraging their participation and motivation.
  • Facilitate small group interventions focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
  • Liaise with parents, guardians, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development.
  • Contribute to the development of behaviour policies and strategies within the school.
  • Attend regular meetings and training sessions to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly in an educational setting.
  • A current Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong understanding of child development, behaviour management techniques, and emotional support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
