Logistics Assistant

£24,500 + Pension + Parking
This large and very established local Company are currently seeking a confident Logistics Assistant to join their team and provide extensive support in their busy Despatch Department.
Some of your duties will include:
- Providing an administrative support function in the European Operations Department
- Co-ordinating the transport of goods by road to locations throughout the UK and across Europe
- Entering details of goods to be transported and the end destination accurately onto computer system
- Tracking goods from despatch stage through to delivery and liaising with transport providers as necessary
- Producing paperwork for carriers and raising invoices on the computer system
- Liaising with customers and managing any delivery issues that occur
