Passenger Transport Attendant for Special Needs Transportation
Location: Solihull
Hours: 20 hours per week (Split Shift: Morning & Afternoon)
Pay: £11.59 per hour
Are you compassionate, patient, and looking for a rewarding part-time role where you can make a difference in the lives of others? We're hiring Passenger Transport Attendants to assist in the safe and caring transportation of children and adults with special needs to and from Day Centres and schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support & Safety: Assist service users in boarding and alighting the vehicle, ensuring all safety measures, such as wheelchair clamps, lap straps, and harnesses, are securely in place.
- Tail Lift Assistance: Ride with service users on the tail lift to offer support and reassurance, ensuring safe operation.
- Observation & Care: Monitor service users during the journey, responding to their needs, ensuring comfort, and reporting any changes in their emotional or physical state.
- Safe Environment: Create a friendly, secure, and stimulating atmosphere on the vehicle, ensuring all service users remain seated and secure during the trip.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety practices, department regulations, and provide necessary assistance in the event of an accident.

Requirements:
- A caring and patient nature with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work split shifts (morning and afternoon).
- Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential; full training provided.
