Accounts Assistant

Part time - Permanent 30 hours
Randstad are currently working in collaboration with a successful SME business in Luton. This busy, successful and expanding international business are seeking an accounts focused, organised and autonomous Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis to support the smooth running of a busy department.
Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant includes:
- Processing of all purchase invoices on Xero
- Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and resolve queries with relevant buyer/supplier
- Weekly bank payment run and ad-hoc payments
- Supplier / client reconciliations
- Bank reconciliation covering all postings
- Assist with credit control
- Assist with stock records
- Maintenance of supplier and customer accounts on Xero (credit terms/credit insurance)
- Assist with reconciliation of invoice discounting account with bank
- EU VAT return processing - work with Management Accountant on returns
- Sales invoicing
- Any other duties as required

- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excel - Intermediate
- Experience of working in a high performing finance team
- Xero experience
