I am seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Controller to join the Finance team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. This pivotal role will involve conducting detailed activity and finance analysis, costing various options, and supporting the preparation of monthly progress reports. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Management Accounts and be adept at delivering insightful financial analysis to support decision-making within the NHS.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

Conduct detailed financial analysis to support the evaluation of operational activities and financial performance.
Cost up options for various projects and initiatives, providing clear and actionable recommendations based on findings.
Prepare and present monthly progress reports, highlighting key financial metrics and trends to support strategic decision-making.

Management Accounts Support:

Provide comprehensive support to the Management Accounts team, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information, contributing to the overall financial health of the Trust.
Budgeting & Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Monitor budgetary performance and provide insights into variances, recommending corrective actions where necessary.

Financial Planning & Strategy:

Support the development and implementation of financial plans and strategies to optimize resource allocation and financial performance.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial considerations are integrated into operational planning and decision-making.

Compliance & Best Practices:

Ensure compliance with NHS financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
Promote best practices in financial management and reporting, contributing to continuous improvement in financial processes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Liaise with internal stakeholders, including senior management and clinical teams, to provide financial insights and support.
Communicate complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner to non-financial colleagues.

We also offer a £250 bonus for starting this contract this will be paid out to you after 150 hours completed (4 Weeks)
