Position: Senior Payroll Administrator
Department: Payroll
Experience Required: Solid overall payroll experience, including end-to-end processes. Experience using 'Staffology' is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for clients, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions, including income tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension contributions.
- Stay updated with UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the administration of employee pension schemes.
- Conduct payroll audits for data accuracy and compliance.
- Review and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Resolve complex payroll-related issues and queries.
- Coordinate year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11D forms.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from clients.
- Conduct periodic payroll reconciliations.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of payroll system upgrades or enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Administrator or similar role focused on UK payroll.
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of statutory deductions and pension scheme administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing complex payroll scenarios.
- Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
