Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth transitions for tenants? We are looking for a dedicated Customer Onboarding Coordinator to manage the move-in and move-out process, ensuring our customers experience a seamless and customer-focused journey. If you have a knack for coordination and a customer-first mindset, this role is perfect for you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinate the move-in and move-out process for customers.
  • Respond promptly to tenancy termination notices, providing guidance on leaving standards, repair liabilities, re-charges, and outstanding rent.
  • Gather property information and plan key returns before the customer leaves.
  • Monitor empty properties and collaborate with the Empty Homes team to minimise vacancies.
  • Liaise with partner agencies and local authorities to verify applicant eligibility.
  • Record accurate information in systems according to GDPR guidelines for offers and tenancy setups.
  • Provide new customers with documentation and ensure they understand tenancy terms and conditions.
  • Encourage and support customer use of the digital "MyGUHG" portal.
  • Set up payments, identify welfare benefits, and refer new customers to support services.
  • Manage the first year of tenancy according to the Starter Tenancy Procedure, contacting customers as needed.
  • Understand relevant housing legislation to ensure appropriate accommodation allocation.
  • Report customer complaints according to procedures.

What we're looking for

  • Customer-facing experience.
  • CIH Level 3 in Housing (or equivalent).
  • Experience in lettings and allocations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive).
  • Outstanding customer service and clear communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective planning and organisation.
  • Flexibility and resilience.
