Butler Rose are delighted to be working with a Plymouth based FMCG manufacturer who have a current requirement for a Planner on a 9 month FTC basis. Role overview
Oversee production planning and management activities within the organisation. Plan the manufacture and delivery of finished products on time and in full ensuring the optimum use of capacity, materials and labour. Assist, develop and implement the Supply Chain Managers 12-week plan. Determine production requirements based on plant capacity, stock volume and product specifications.
Key duties
- Production planning and stock control, ordering materials
- Off site storage transfer and planning
- Deliver products consistently, on time and within site production capabilities
- Exceptional communication and reporting skills
- Collaboration and communication with various teams as needed
- Ability to work in high-pressure, deadline driven environment
- Solid working knowledge in all required software and programming languages relevant to your role
- Developing, managing, and updating the planning system ensuring the needs of the business and customers are met.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal management and admin at all levels, building positive relationships.
- To manage levels of all material and packaging stocks within the business, operating a just in time ethos and operating within cash flow requirements.
- Raising Purchase orders
- To act as the key contact with the relevant supply chain and purchasing teams for all customers of the business. Developing and ensuring excellent customer relationships are maintained to ensure 100% customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Ensuring that technical and Health and Safety requirements are met in respect of the delivery and storage of materials.
Experience required
- Previous experience in food Manufacturing
- Experience in stock control, planning and ordering materials.
- Excel advanced essential
Benefits
- Salary £35,000 - £40,000
- 9 month FTC but strong chance role is made permanent
