Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Thornbury, Bristol

Salary: £12.82 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract: 12 weeks temporary to permanent
Reed is currently working with an excellent secondary school based within the Thornbury area of Bristol who are dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team and make a positive impact on the students' educational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt and deliver engaging lesson plans.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students with personal care needs, if required.
- Assist with classroom management and organization.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Expectations:
- Previous experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
