Colmore Education are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a dynamic school environment.
The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support and ensure an inclusive learning experience for all students.
The students are aged 5 – 18 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is designated for pupils with moderate learning difficulties; however, the majority of pupils have additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties and some behavioural issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support students with diverse learning needs in the classroom
- Help create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to meet students' needs
- Provide one-on-one support where necessary
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Valid Child and Adult DBS check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and empathy in working with diverse student groups
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
