Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Tool Hire Operative to join our team in Peterborough, who's as passionate about great service as we are.
We provide full training and development with our Tool Hire positions, you'll learn all about the equipment and tools we hire, how they work and how to maintain them to ensure our customers get the best from us.

_Hours: _ 7.30 - 5.00 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8-12
_Location: _ Cygnet Park, Club Way, Hampton, Peterborough PE7 8JA
Key Responsibilities
- Perform delivery and collection of tools and equipment using a 3.5t vehicle, often with trailer attachment (training will be provided), unloading and talking customers through how to operate them at site
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the depot workshop
- Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson values
- Develop great relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise tool hire delivery and collection, keeping customers updated throughout their journey
- Act as direct support to Tool Hire Manager during annual leave, liaising with customers and suppliers in their absence
- Working according to Health & Safety compliance

Required Skills and Experience
- Full UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 1 year, for a manual transmission
- Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
- Stellar communication and people skills
- Customer focussed individual
- Mechanical knowledge would be beneficial, but full training is provided
