Ground Maintenance

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a diverse array of grounds maintenance tasks, encompassing landscaping, grass cutting, hard landscaping, hedge trimming, and the general upkeep of outdoor spaces.
  • Execute construction, repair, and maintenance work on outdoor structures and amenities.
  • Employ a variety of tools and equipment to carry out grounds maintenance tasks with precision.
  • Adhere to drawings and specifications to plan and execute maintenance projects effectively.
  • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of essential materials and equipment for maintenance undertakings.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations during maintenance operations.
  • Respond promptly to any maintenance or repair requirements for existing outdoor structures.
  • Maintain open communication channels with project managers, clients, and fellow team members.
  • Be available for out-of-hours call-outs as part of the designated call-out roster.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience as a grounds maintenance operative or in a related capacity.
  • Versatility in multiple grounds maintenance duties, with the ability to handle various maintenance tasks proficiently.
  • Familiarity with different materials used in grounds maintenance and their characteristics.
  • Proficiency in utilising hand and power tools for outdoor maintenance tasks.
  • Aptitude for understanding and interpreting technical drawings pertaining to outdoor structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a firm dedication to delivering high-quality outdoor maintenance services.
  • Capability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Strong time management abilities to ensure punctual arrival on site and efficient task completion.
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites as necessitated by the role.
  • Possession of a valid UK driver's license.

Position Details:

  • Full-time employment: 42.5 hours per week.
  • Provision of a company vehicle.
  • 32 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Additional holiday entitlement for long service.
  • Salary: Depends on experience, starting from £30,000.
