Responsibilities:
- Undertake a diverse array of grounds maintenance tasks, encompassing landscaping, grass cutting, hard landscaping, hedge trimming, and the general upkeep of outdoor spaces.
- Execute construction, repair, and maintenance work on outdoor structures and amenities.
- Employ a variety of tools and equipment to carry out grounds maintenance tasks with precision.
- Adhere to drawings and specifications to plan and execute maintenance projects effectively.
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of essential materials and equipment for maintenance undertakings.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations during maintenance operations.
- Respond promptly to any maintenance or repair requirements for existing outdoor structures.
- Maintain open communication channels with project managers, clients, and fellow team members.
- Be available for out-of-hours call-outs as part of the designated call-out roster.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience as a grounds maintenance operative or in a related capacity.
- Versatility in multiple grounds maintenance duties, with the ability to handle various maintenance tasks proficiently.
- Familiarity with different materials used in grounds maintenance and their characteristics.
- Proficiency in utilising hand and power tools for outdoor maintenance tasks.
- Aptitude for understanding and interpreting technical drawings pertaining to outdoor structures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a firm dedication to delivering high-quality outdoor maintenance services.
- Capability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong time management abilities to ensure punctual arrival on site and efficient task completion.
- Willingness to travel to different job sites as necessitated by the role.
- Possession of a valid UK driver's license.
Position Details:
- Full-time employment: 42.5 hours per week.
- Provision of a company vehicle.
