Acorn By Synergie are pleased to be representing our client based in the heart of Leeds city centre, who are seeking to employ a Carbon Analyst.

As a Carbon Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for analysing and reporting on energy and carbon footprint data for various clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills in a growing and evolving field, while also contributing to the global effort to combat climate change.

As a Carbon Analyst, you will work closely with clients to understand their energy consumption and carbon emissions through the use of energy audits and data collection. You will be utilising your expertise in data analytics to analyse and interpret large numerical data sets, providing valuable insights and recommendations to clients.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) and SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting) regulations, as well as a strong ability to translate complex data into easy-to-understand reports and presentations. You will also be an expert Excel user, proficient in creating pivot tables and graphs to effectively showcase data trends and patterns.

In addition to technical skills, we are seeking a candidate who is a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams and working closely with clients, therefore, the ability to build and maintain relationships is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting energy audits and data collection for clients
  • Analysing and interpreting large numerical data sets related to energy consumption and carbon emissions
  • Creating reports and presentations to showcase data trends and patterns
  • Providing recommendations for energy and carbon reduction strategies
  • Staying up-to-date on ESOS and SECR regulations and ensuring compliance for clients

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy or carbon analysis
  • Strong background in data analytics and proficient in Excel
  • Experience working with large numerical data sets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working with energy audits and compliance reporting is a plus
  • Passion for sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment
