Project Manager

My client, a national housing developer is looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to manage a new phase of an existing scheme of 160+unit , consisting of all affordable housing & apartments

The ideal candidate will have experience of running large or multi-phased schemes and production teams simultaneously whilst working within a fair build programme whilst delivering on quality within budget and on time.

Duties,

  • Project manager, No1, whilst reporting in to a Contract Manager or Construction Director
  • Responsible for multiple phases,all productions teams, sub-contractors and trades and labour
  • Pre-construction work for projects
  • Inductions & talk box talks
  • Material calls offs
  • Ensure all sub-contractors are working in line with build programmes and all work is checked.
  • Responsible for all non-conforming sub-contractors
  • RAMS
  • Providing clear direction to the construction teams regarding responsibilities and targets
  • Ensuring projects are completed are completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
  • Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
  • Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure
  • Training and support of production teams
  • Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approve stage completions to payments to subcontractors
  • Ensuring customer service remains of the highest priority at all times with everyone on site

Qualifications,

  • HA/Affordable housing experience
  • Previously a SSM/SM whilst working on large scale projects
  • Proven experience of managing a full site team
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS, Black
  • First Aid
