I am seeking a Commercial Sales Manager on behalf of a growing manufacturing organisation in Kent. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in team development and commercial business growth, with a focus on driving revenue. This role requires close collaboration with the manufacturing and production teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with production capabilities.
Day-to-day of the role as a Commercial Sales Manager:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Lead and nurture the sales team, setting revenue targets and key performance indicators.
- Work closely with the manufacturing and production teams to understand product capabilities and align sales strategies accordingly.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with new clients while maintaining existing client relationships.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide detailed sales forecasting and set performance goals to ensure company revenue objectives are met.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure brand consistency and increase sales through various channels.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Commercial Sales Manager:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Sales Manager or similar role within a technical manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and grow sales teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset for business development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software and sales management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with senior management.
