The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Director and focus on central finance.
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
As a Finance Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the financial landscape of our client's operations. You will be responsible for a range of month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, and forecasting cash flows. Your expertise will also be crucial in monitoring capital expenditures and maintaining the fixed asset register. Additionally, you will oversee the annual budget preparation, strategic planning, and monthly forecasting. Ensuring adherence to governance, risk, and compliance processes within SAP will also fall under your purview.
- Delivery of month-end close activities including preparing and posting month-end journals to the ERP system.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports and review actual spend and prepare forecasts with budget holders.
- Responsible for preparation of accurate short and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Monitoring Capex additions and maintaining Fixed asset register in SAP.
- Preparation of the annual budget, Strategic Plan (long-range plan) and monthly forecast.
- Oversee SAP GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) process adherence.
What the successful candidate will bring
- Professional accounting qualification (ICAEW, ACCA. CIMA).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Financial Reporting.
- Understanding of financial controls and processes.
- Experience of Financial forecasting and planning.
- Experience managing teams.
- Good working knowledge of an ERP system (SAP preferable).
