Finance Business Partner

Robert Half Cambridge are delighted to be partnering with a business in March who are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their finance team. This role will provide financial decision-making guidance to the operational businesses to support growth and profitability partnering departmental management by providing accurate and timely financial data, analysis and interpretation, that drives best in class decision making and as a result optimises business performance.

This role is paying a salary of up to £80,000, depending on experience. The role is based in the office full time in the March office.

The Role:

  • Budgets/forecasts and longer-term scenario planning to optimize performance, protect from threats and advise management on how to maximise opportunity.
  • Ensuring costings are accurate, challenging for the operation and ensure the Commercial teams are fully equipped with the correct information for negotiation.
  • Use data and analysis to drive improvement through the operation and/or commercial space.
  • Always maintain full control over balance sheet risk/opportunity, ensuring position is understood by management and acted upon accordingly.
  • Lead the production of accurate and timely daily, weekly, periodic financial information, ensuring it is informative and understood by the organisation and drives actions and decisions in the best interest of the business.
  • Lead a high performing team and business unit.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Part or Fully Qualified (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills all levels
  • Experience working in a complex commercial environment including demonstrable experience in managing business risks, professional financial control, and creation of forward planning.
  • Demonstrable record of budget management, governance, and ability to understand and interpret commercial and financial landscapes (budgets, forecasts, actual status).
  • Ability to have a collaborative approach.
