LTF Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 1 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and challenging behaviour. Our partner school are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for their students and are looking for a candidate who shares this vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a Year 1 student with ASD, focusing on behavioural management and emotional regulation.
- Implement tailored strategies and interventions to address challenging behaviours.
- Foster a calm and positive atmosphere to enhance the child's learning experience.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to create and maintain an effective support plan.
- Monitor and report on the child's progress, adapting approaches as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with ASD and challenging behaviour.
- A calming presence, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and consistent in high-stress situations.
- Understanding of positive behaviour support techniques and intervention strategies.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) or behaviour management (preferred but not essential).
