Our client, a Council based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner on a 6 -12 month temporary contract.
The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The daily rate for this position is £153PAYE or £200UMB and travel will be required to the office once/twice per week.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Finance Business Partner for a Local Authority and be qualified/studying towards a professional qualification
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Building on and improving the business partnering approach to ensure good financial management
- Delivering professional financial business partnering services including strategic financial advice and specialist and technical financial support
- Supporting services with financial and resource management, grant and internal financial control management
- Assisting with the compilation of Statutory Annual Accounts
- Identifying, developing and supporting opportunities and initiatives to transform service deliveries across the Council
- Developing business cases and options appraisals in support of business objectives and outcomes
Experience required:
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority
- Previous experience working as a Finance Business Partner
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Professional qualification or studying towards a professional qualification
Working hours:
- 37 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
