For the NPD Technologist role, we are looking for candidates with a relevant degree, e.g. Food Science or Nutrition (or similar), and 2+ years of experience managing food innovation and development projects.
Key Responsibilities of the NPD Technologist:
- Drive Innovation: Lead and manage Retail and Out-of-Home product innovation and renovation projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
- Collaborate with UK and International Teams: Coordinate with suppliers, brand champions, and internal departments to bring projects to life.
- Spot Trends: Monitor industry trends and innovations, driving awareness of relevant food trends within the company.
- Enhance Knowledge: As a passionate foodie you will be committed to sharing your knowledge, delivering educational food programs and events internally to enhance food trend awareness across the business.
- Ensure Quality: Continuously review competitor products and propose improvements to maintain top-tier quality.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Essential: A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
- Essential: 2-3+ years of experience in a similar I&D, NPD, R&D role within an FMCG Food environment.
- Essential: Experience managing food innovation and renovation projects from concept through to launch.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for food, sweet treats, and trends.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to get involved and make a difference.
- Keen learner, a proactiveness to gaining and sharing food trend knowledge.
