Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess potential suppliers evaluating quality, reliability, pricing, and sustainability
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favourable payment conditions and delivery schedules
- Monitor supplier performance consistently, ensuring quality standards and timely deliveries
- Conduct regular review meetings and build strong supplier relationships
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply-demand
- Perform market research and analysis to anticipate changes in availability, pricing, and quality
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales and marketing to forecast demand
- Address any quality issues promptly, working closely with suppliers to resolve and prevent future occurrences
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels, minimize waste, and reduce costs
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and supplier meetings to stay connected with the market and identify new opportunities
- Work with cross-functional teams such as sales and marketing to understand customer requirements and execute successful product launches
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a Purchasing role
- previous experience working in a fast paced environment
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Solutions-focused approach to challenges with the ability to meet deadlines and tight timescales
- Resilient under pressure with strong time management skills to handle conflicting priorities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions
