Enrolment and Welcome Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a prestigious university based in central London.

Role: Enrolment and Welcome Administrator (Temporary)

Duration: 2 months

Pay: £18.36

Hours / days:

The role will be full time, mostly 9 to 5 but flexibility will be required on some dates when enrolment and training sessions are held and specifically during main enrolment delivery when longer hours will be necessary (approximately 8.00am -6.30pm). longer hours will be required between 19 and 27 September.

Start date: 5th August 2024

Job description:

  • Manage the day to day administration of the student services events enquiries, organising , logging, distributing or responding where appropriate

  • Assist in the administration of effectively co-ordinating staff support across the SSC and other service areas for enrolment and welcome

  • Participate in the induction, training and co-ordination of temporary staff for welcome and enrolment

  • Administer all relevant central event related tasks and communications:

  • Central aspects of Welcome

  • Enrolment and Registration

  • ID card production for enrolment

  • Welcome and support new students in a friendly and approachable manner

  • Signpost students to expert sources of information and advice

  • Conduct basic identity and right to study checks

  • Enter data into a web based enrolment system

  • Create an inclusive environment, respect diversity, and promote equal opportunities

  • Uphold the School's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion commitments

  • Undertake any other duties as required by Enrolment/Welcome Managers

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in an administrative capacity in Higher Education or wider education sector
  • Experience of fast, accurate data entry and have excellent attention to detail
  • Be proficient in the use of a range of IT - particularly Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn new systems and software
  • Be highly-organised and ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Experience in communicating effectively with internal and external users at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent customer service and service delivery
  • A flexible, helpful and positive attitude.
  • Ability to exercise initiative when handling problems or queries and knowing when to refer/escalate them to a colleague or manager.

Desirable

  • Experience of using SITS and Salesforce desirable
