Quality Control Inspector Glass

About the Role:
Are you detail-oriented with a passion for quality assurance?
We are looking, for a meticulous and dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our QSHE team. Your primary role will be to conduct thorough quality control inspections on incoming glass deliveries, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards before they reach our customers.
Maintaining the Glass QC working area to a high standard, keeping documentation, and records up to date to ensure full traceability.
You will also be involved in inspecting other materials and components when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control: Take ownership of the inspection process for all incoming glass, ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, manage inventory procedures, and report any rejections using our software system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Operations and Purchasing teams regarding deliveries, product non-conformances, and stillage returns.
  • Process Management: Organize the Glass QC area to prevent damage or defects and manage the preparation and despatch of glass to the Production Area.
  • Versatility: Conduct inspections on a variety of materials as needed, ensuring all products meet our stringent quality requirements.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other reasonable tasks to support the QSHE department.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using technical measuring equipment.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in maintaining and updating records.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working in warehouse and factory environments

Desirable

  • Forklift licence
  • Previous glass handling experience
  • Experience of operating overhead rail gantry crane

Working hours are 7.30am to 15.30pm Monday to Friday
