Our client, a globally leading manufacturing business based in Reading are looking to hire an Internal Communications Manager within the supply chain and central functions team.

Sitting within the Central Communications team, you will focus on providing communications expertise and delivery for Supply Chain and across various central functions such as HR and Sustainability. You will need previous experience of working with senior stakeholders and be a collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

Supply Chain

  • Shape and deliver the strategic internal communications plan for Supply Chain through advising, defining and executing internal communication and engagement plans.
  • Crafting compelling strategic narratives.
  • Writing communications for the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Supply Chain Leadership team.
  • Responsibility for executing campaigns and content that brings to life strategic narratives.
  • Management of existing supply chain communication channels.
  • Communications lead for strategic change and transformation programmes.

Central Functions

  • Act as key communications business partner for central teams such as sustainability and HR.
  • Play a key role in enhancing engagement and embedding culture.
  • Collaborate closely with other communications team members to support delivery of a central calendar of cross-channel communications.

Previous skills/experiences

  • Strong internal communication experience, ideally within a large, complex organisations.
  • Previous experience working in supply chain / supply chain communications.
  • Excellent judgment and strong attention to detail, with an ability to use initiative to spot opportunities and advise stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex business information and distill into compelling and easy to understand messaging.
  • Action-oriented team player who enjoys 'getting things done' whilst working with teams of all sizes across the entire organisation.
  • Strong background in internal leadership communications.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across teams and functions along with managing multiple key stakeholders.

Experience in the following would be ideal:

  • Delivering communications in an operational environment, including to front-line audiences without access to tech.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing organisation.
  • Health, Safety and Environment as well as Sustainability Communications (campaigns and operational).
  • Video shooting and editing (on an iPhone is fine)
  • Canva (video and graphic creation)
  • Workplace (Meta)
