  • Create and manage the creative life-cycle critical path with key milestones, track progress and ensure all critical path dates are met.
  • Work closely with Far East suppliers, establishing costs, lead times, and sampling requirements.

  • Provide the Product Development team with target prices based on RRP, box sizes, customer, region, etc. Drive cost efficiencies for all product development.
  • Approve and coordinate product artwork and specifications.
  • Collaborate on new product ideas or re-purpose current products and formats.
  • Drive final negotiations with suppliers on overall order values to meet company targets.
  • Sign off pre-production and mass samples, ensuring proper function and best pack out for all products.
  • Visit factories as required to check pre-production samples, view production, aid with inspections, and assess new factories.

Skills and experience required:

  • Solid product management experience working with consumer products, ideally for leading high street retailers, grocery, or FMCG customers.
  • Experience working directly with global suppliers, including the Far East.
  • Proficiency in managing production critical paths, with the ability to work to tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a commercial and proactive mindset.
  • A keen interest in product and retail, with a strong commercial eye.

  • Strong trend awareness, constantly looking at new development opportunities for both products and ranges.
  • Ability to streamline workflows, manage resources efficiently, and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Monday.com and databases like SpecRight benefit
  • Proactive and organised with a friendly approach.
