Risk Assistant/Officer - Mandarin Speaking

We are a leading Chinese bank in the City and currently recruiting for a Risk Assistant/Officer. The Bank is renowned worldwide for the quality of its customer services and has operated in the UK as a Branch for 8 years.

As a Risk Assistant/Officer, you're expected to be a highly driven, career-minded individual who has excellent knowledge of comprehensive risk. This position provides an exciting opportunity for working within a small team and quickly adapting to cover a broad range of duties. The key responsibilities will include:

Liquidity & Market risk

  • Monitor and report liquidity and market risk metrics accurately
  • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to identify potential risks
  • Develop liquidity & market frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Prepare regular risk reports for management and regulatory bodies
  • Other duties as assigned by the line manager

Operational Risk

  • Business continuity, including crisis response, vulnerabilities assessment, strategies implementation
  • Risk register process, including identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring
  • Key risk indicator (KRI), including identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring
  • Risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), including identification, control assessment, action plans
  • Other duties as assigned by the line manager

To be successful in the role of a Risk Officer, the following key skills are essential:

  • 2-5 years' experience in risk analysis;
  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent;
  • Strong fundamental risk analysis skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
  • Team working and an eye for numbers;
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin both in verbal and writing;
  • Deadline driven and abilities to work under pressure.

This will be a full-time position and the successful candidate will receive a mark-to-market salary package depending on experience. The closing date for applications is the 29th August 2024.
