Assistant Team Manager, £38ph, LAC, Swindon
Pertemps are recruiting for a qualified and experienced Assistant Team Manager to join the Looked After Children Service.
The LAC team works with children who are under 16 years old who have a care plan of long-term foster care or adoption. Children transfer into the team after care proceedings conclude and remain until they are 16. Swindon have manageable caseloads of between 14 and 16 children for a full-time worker.
The Assistant Team Manager will be responsible for managing a pod of social workers. The ability to provide those managed with reflective supervision, which focuses on the importance of the relationship between social worker and the young person, is vital in ensuring children and young people's needs are met.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable evidence of management and Leadership Skills within a management role in a Social Work setting
- Post qualification experience and evidence of practice in a front-line Social Work setting
- Management and Leadership experience of recruitment, performance, appraisal and direct responsibility for operational staff
- SWE registration
