Position Overview:
As a Commercial Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our client's fleet. You'llbe responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintainingvarious types of commercial vehicles, providing high-quality service to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections and diagnostics on commercial vehicles, including trucks/ Vans
- Execute repairs and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, and engine overhauls.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in all maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues and improve service efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status and recommended repairs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in commercial vehicles.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
