The Role
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organisation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading a small finance team and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager position will include:

  • Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing key insights to senior management.
  • Conduct variance analysis and monitor financial performance against targets.
  • Oversee financial controls, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Drive process improvements and implement financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial analysis for new projects.
  • Lead in managing the finance team, including training and development.
  • Assist in cash flow management, working capital, and cost control to optimise financial performance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with proven experience in a similar Finance Manager role.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a finance team.
  • Proficient in financial software and systems, with competent Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
