NDT Technician

£30k - £34k DOE
Hours:
Monday to Friday, with 12-hour shifts on Nightshift as required
Job Responsibilities
- Perform acid etching and dye penetrant inspection of parts.
- Handle packing and shipping duties.
- Work safely within a team, demonstrating sound judgment and adhering to safety protocols.
- Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
Training
- Complete a minimum of 40 hours classroom training and 400 hours practical training.
- Pass two written multiple choice theory exams and a practical exam.
- Potential for training in hardness testing and metallurgical sample preparation.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Current forklift license.
- Current crane license.
- Sound judgment and the ability to work safely within a team.
- Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in a similar role and current/previous qualifications are desirable and may reduce training duration.
