The responsibilities include coordinating tooling projects from sales through delivery, leading project management meetings, and ensuring quality, cost, and timely delivery metrics are met. This involves managing internal timing plans, identifying specification changes, and understanding capacity issues to communicate any necessary delays. Daily updates and cost monitoring are crucial, along with progressing parts through production to meet delivery dates. Collaboration with production supervisors ensures parts are ready for assembly, supporting capacity and efficiency optimisation. The role aims to improve on-time delivery metrics to over 95%, establish robust design for manufacture processes, and develop a tooling design cost model with design and sales for better quoting accuracy.
Working Monday- Friday paying upto £40,000pa DOE.
What do you need?
- Update progress reports on a regular basis.
- A good verbal and written communicator, able to analyse and communicate complex information effectively at all levels
- Support achievement of KPI targets for, Quality, Cost, Delivery - Tooling Projects
- Proactively support the team leaders through positive coaching and mentoring
- Assist in chasing Purchasing and Suppliers when required.
- To ensure world class quality standards are promoted, achieved, developed and maintained, complying with TS16949, ISO14001, ISO9001 and other appropriate accreditation expectations
