Project Manager (Gas Utilities)

Salary: £60,000 + Car Allowance

The Role
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Project Manager to oversee gas utility projects from start to finish. With a proven background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects—especially within Tier 1 contractor environments—the successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Leading gas utility projects from initiation through to completion, maintaining accountability for project timelines and budget adherence.
- Planning and Coordination: Developing project plans, schedules, and budgets while coordinating across teams and contractors.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all project work meets safety regulations and client expectations.
- Documentation and Tracking: Using MS Office and ASITE to track progress, manage documentation, and report regularly.
- Risk Management: Identifying and managing project risks, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the gas utility sector and a background with Tier 1 contractors. Key skills include knowledge of NEC Contracts, proficiency with works drawings, and expertise in project management software. Strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations are essential.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to commute within Norfolk.
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management or Engineering are preferred.
